<p>Code Breakers follows Max, Liz, and Chen as they investigate strange happenings at their school, using an action-packed mystery to engage upper-elementary readers who are still building foundational literacy skills. The phonics sequence increases in complexity from short vowels and consonant blends/digraphs through silent e, vowel teams, r-controlled vowels, diphthongs, syllables, and word knowledge, set in a dyslexic-friendly font. Written by Amanda Gebhardt, illustrated by Leo Trinidad.</p>
